~~~~~~~~~~~ WE CIVILIANS ~~~~~~~~~~~
The recent terror attack on Mumbai was a complete wake up call..atleast for me
I personally feel we shouldn't rely on our government for our future, We should rely on Ourself for that. Its our time to rise again to secure our future. We are capable enough to fight for Our livings. For this we need to Join together and Promise ourselves that we are ready to change the way we live, For securing future of our coming generations. The recent Mumbai terror attack was a window through which our future was clearly visible and this time we will not ignore this vision,  Its an inconvenient truth but we need to digest it and we need to work on it. Before getting into any kind of blame game we shall ask ourselves what we did for our country... It has been ages, we have been sleeping for so long, been so Careless that we always dismissed such distant rumblings.. We people have a tedency we'll stay Quite Unless and Until something like these terror attack Victimise us our Our dearones.. Not only Terror attacks.. but other things too.. Like Poverty.. we can just sit and say Ohh soo sad India's Poverty level is rising.. thats Just a mere word, just a mere expression, the only person which could feel its pain is that Povertystuck person who strives every single minute to earn some penny.
This is the high time Friends we were asleep and now we need to wake up and shake ourselves and Do some thing.
I Like what John Kennedy Used to say
"Ask Not What Your Country Can Do For You Ask What You Can Do For Your Country"
Future generation may have occasions to ask the question what our parents were thinking? Why didn't they wake up when they had chance.. we have to hear that question from them. Are you ready to answer these questions? If not than Are YoU ready to change the way you live?
If yes than come Lets Join together and do something.
The National crisis can be solved If we want and for that we all have our joint effort.
Here is how to start
1. How to solve Climate crisis
First Visit www.climatecrisis.net
Many of you must be thinking. why to solve Climate crisis? Why not first focus on other National Crisis than this  Global Crisis?
For that too I have an answer. For a matter of the fact Global warming is at its peak, in coming years we need to face many natural disasters which are going to be worse than what we have witnessed till date. The sea level is increasing tremendously that the time is not far when we need to build our global map again.
Do You see this Blue Round mass. Thats Us. Our Earth. Everything have Ever happened to all of you, Happened here. All the triumphs, all the tragedies, all the famines, all the wars, all the major advances, its all happened here and thats what is on stake. Our ability to live on this Planet Earth, to have future civilisation. I believe this is a Moral Issue, It is Our time to cease this issue, It is our time to rise again, to secure our Future. We all need to imbibe it in Our mind.
I hate those people who come up like.. Ohh Goshhh.. India is not at all clean.. Helloooo...!! we are the people who makes it dirty. Ask yourself how many of you  have ever picked up a single wrapper on a road and threw it the dustbin.. Naaahhh..!! Thats not our Job.. right.. I know 90% of us will say that. Guys come on.. Chuck it ... Its our Country Our Home.. we need to let our hands to get dirty for making it clean. It hardly take 1 min to pick up a wrapper on road and throwing it in a dustbin. I guess I am not asking for much. We Civilians are capable of doing this much.
# Plant More Trees, Lots of Trees
# Buy Energy Efficient appliances
# Recycle
# When you can, walk or ride a bicycle
# Tell your elders, Friends, younger ones not to ruin the world that you Live in.
# If You are a parent, Join with your children to save the world they live in.
# Switch to renewable source of energy.
# Speak up in your community.
Wisely use electricity, It can decrease atleast 5% of Global warming.
# Call radio shows and write newspapers.
2. Illiteracy
I believe almost 90% of Indians have some maid servants working in their home or Labourers working at their work place. Have we ever tried to ask them, if their kids are studying or not??? Come on Friends.. second easy task to do. Give your free time to their kids, ask them to send their kids. An hour a week will do great. Its Up to you how much you can do. After giving them the basic education start getting them up to course books and get them enrolled in some university and make them pass atleast twelvth grade. You can make career of some one with this. Ask your family and friends for funding their studies.
3. Snub Extremist
I might be wrong here. Don't wanna create any controversy but some where I think the thing which is breaking our nation is the too deep rooted religionism and regionalism. Its not bad to preach a religion or to feel proud of the place you Live in but don't let it overpower your thinking. Respect others religion n region too. Give first priority to Humanism than religionism and regionalism. Hindu, Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Marathi, Punjabi, Gujrati, Bengali, Telugu, Tamil, Malyali, Keralian before all this we are Indians and above that we all are humans. And even our religion preaches God is one. Believe in it.
These were my thoughts and ideas. I really want to do something. ... As actions speaks more than word and believe me all what I asked to do.. I am already working on it.
"If You Believe In Prayers,
     Pray that people will find the strength to change"
In the words of the Old Proverb
"When you Pray, Move your feet"
At the end I'll say that learn as much as You can about the Ideas of dealing with social crisis , share them here and then we'll put your Ideas in action.
I will also Thank Al Gore, His Movie An Inconvenient Truth really Inspired me and moved me
I'll also like to thank one of my friend.. who once shared her Ideas for solving social crisis at our level which really Inspired me.
CHANGE DOES NOT HAPPEN
WHEN CIRCUMSTANCES IMPROVE.
CHANGE HAPPENS WHEN YOU DECIDE TO IMPROVE THE CIRCUMSTANCES
Good STANCE to step outta CIRCUMference ... keep up the good work zeee !!
Really impressive post..
And I agree with your point about religion. Believing in your religion is good, but blind faith is completely wrong. Most of terrorist activities today seem to be promoted on religious ground.
Waiting for your next post ;)
Thank you for coming by my blog. I found the piece that you wrote on Extremism to be quite interesting and according to me correct.
Good going man...keep it up.
Seems like you removed the other post. :|
Anyway nice to see that you handled the critisism in, well, a positive way. (Though removing the post makes me doubtful about that :P)
Whenever you move a step forward, there'll be a lot of people who'll try and pull you back. People who prefer to let things be the way they are instead of bringing a change. If you can avoid them from demoralising you, you'll go a long way.
And about few people commenting that they'll "Change themselves", well trust me many who do "change" don't speak about it till it's done. :P
I guess this post would be a success if someone leaves a comment saying, "Thanks to your post, I have changed!".
I agree with Jinks and her ways , here I would like to comment that
I would not only snub the extremists but also make it a point that strictest of the actions are taken against that particular group or organisation and it is not allowed the rights of very existence;
I believe that any form of extremism with regards to Religion would ultimately have an affect over the overall human civilization and humane conduct and ethos. It(Religious extremism) shatters the humane system and differentiates people according to their religion, caste , creed etc.
Let us not have any more killings and bloodshed in the name of religion. and let us also oppose the people who participate in such acts. (Hats of the ATS team and Hemant Karkare who didnt even bother about the opposition from topnotch political leaders and different extremists groups.) People should stand against it and continue doing their job at the same time should be able to really call a Spade a spade.
Other issues that I think are not only our responsibilities as civilians of Indian but also our duties so that we all can have a prosperous, clean, green and safer place to live should be -
Cleanliness in our cities, towns, villages.
Respecting the value of Nature, wildlife and also Agricultural lands (In India, once agriculture was the backbone of Indian economy and its a shame that those very farmers have to commit suicide)
Judicial and social reforms should be revised and re-structured, and a PIL in this effect might be useful. (But I hope this process should be fast and one which really gives a good outcome in the interest of common Public.)
I apologize for voicing my views if in case they have hurt anyone , I am solely responsible for them.
Regards
MN
U have raised some good points which really needs to be addressed. Well i agree with u but u see the main basic things that we need to do is to improve our system. Instead of spending more than Rs250 cr in security of corrupt politicians it should be invested in the security of the state. Recently the parliament had a blood donation camp and not a single MP turned up to donate their blood and they talk about "janta ki seva"!!!Ministers and officers all have to be accountable and the people of this country should know exactly where and when the resources are utilized..and when do u expect the results. Every year the progress report should be available to the citizens of this country. Power to control police and army should be under the President of India as then no politics is played on the safety of the citizens of India and its out of politics.
Yes we people also have to take the initiatives i totally agree with u. Dont waste your votes and see to it that u always fulfill your duties.
The education point that you raised is really very important..and if the govt fulfills its duties well u know there wont be ant situation like these that u have to teach them as its in the legislation that education should be provided to everyone and we all know where the budget money goes.
hi there!a very good post..not have you written about how we should unite and stand as one,you have precisely outlined WHAT should be done!
with all due respect to all religions it is really necessary to cast away fanaticism and evil principles ingrained in religions.
